We are looking on behalf of our client for the position of Fashion Designer & Product Associate who will be responsible for overseeing design & sample development for a group of export focused brands for the company. She will work closely with the lead designer to develop professional design files, interpret pricing and design requirements into material and production estimates, and effectively communicate with production supervisors.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist in overseeing design and sample development for multiple export-focused brands
  • Develop professional design files based on meetings with the lead designer.
  • Source fabrics, embellishments, and materials of production from local and global wholesalers.
  • Collaborate with skilled artisan centers and income-generating units to source unique embellishments.
  • Liaise with photographers, photo-shoot agencies, website teams, shipping teams, and international sales agents.
  • Manage timelines and deadlines in a seasonal business industry, including international trade show schedules.
  • Ensure the successful execution of projects within limited and small quantity production spheres (under 300 pieces per collection)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION

Education:

Minimum Bachelors Degree in fashion design or any other related degree from HEC recognized university.

Professional Experience:

Minimum 01 - 03 years of relevant experience, preferably with export focused women brand.

Behavioral Skills and Competencies:

The candidate must have the following qualities:

  • Experience working for a reputable women fashion brand (Pret brand/ Street wear) or label is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of women fashion trends, fabrics, garment construction techniques, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Corel Draw.
  • Strong sketching and illustration skills, with an eye for detail and proportion.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for creativity, innovation, and staying ahead of fashion trends.

Note: Total Experience of the individual/ candidate should not be more than 8 years.
