Position: Amazon Warehouse Associate at the Fulfillment Center The Role: Step into a world where you are a key component of the Amazon services that customers depend on. As part of our warehouse team, you'll play a significant role in areas such as merchandising, on-demand manufacturing, returns management, Prime Now, and comprehensive fulfillment. Your duties will include picking, packing, and dispatching orders, with some requiring our ultra-fast delivery within two hours or less. Duties and Responsibilities: Your tasks are likely to involve: - Handling and storing inventory - Preparing and packing clients' orders - Loading boxes onto delivery trucks - Utilizing scanners to read product barcodes - Following screen prompts for task guidance - Troubleshooting issues - Ensuring products meet quality standards - Operating Industrial Power Trucks (IPTs) like forklifts and pallet drivers, and working at heights reaching 40 feet. We provide equipment training and certification at no charge. Physical and Operational Requirements: You will need to: - Lift up to 49 pounds - Move utility carts weighing up to 60 pounds - Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach throughout your shift - Use various equipment to transport items - Navigate stairs as necessary - Work at heights up to 40 feet on a mezzanine - Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and production standards Inside an Amazon Fulfillment Center: - Safety: We prioritize your safety and equip you with protective gear. Safety tips are shared across all teams. - Environment: Our operations involve working around moving machinery, including order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. - Activities: Your tasks may demand standing for long durations, walking, or stair climbing. - Temperature: Despite climate controls, warehouse temperatures fluctuate between 60°F and 90°F; they can exceed 90°F in the truck yard or inside trailers on warm days. - Noise: The operational noise levels are high at times. We provide hearing protection if required. - Dress code: We maintain a relaxed dress code with a primary focus on safety.
